Stopper Rod Mechanism is supplied for a defined metallurgical line position. Load, motion, temperature, wear conditions, drive, controls and mounting geometry are confirmed from the customer process data and drawings.
Working principle
The mechanism raises and lowers a stopper rod to regulate or shut off molten-metal flow from the tundish. Actuation, positioning and refractory interfaces are coordinated with the casting control system.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
