Select around the project duty
Square Billet Copper Mould Tube is a replaceable heat-transfer component used in a water-cooled continuous-casting mould. Its section, length, taper, corner geometry and interface must match the caster design and the required billet or bloom format.
Working principle
Molten steel contacts the working face of the copper mould tube and begins to form a solid shell. Cooling water circulating around the tube removes heat while the strand is withdrawn through the mould. The final heat-transfer design, taper and cooling conditions are confirmed for the casting duty.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
Core features
- Configuration reviewed against the process duty and equipment interface
- Drawings, inspection scope and acceptance requirements agreed before manufacture
- Final technical values remain subject to supplier review and quotation
