Short Stress Path Bar and Wire Rod Mill is supplied for a defined metallurgical line position. Load, motion, temperature, wear conditions, drive, controls and mounting geometry are confirmed from the customer process data and drawings.
Working principle
Opposed rolls reduce and shape the heated billet through successive passes. A short stress path stand arrangement transfers rolling force through a compact housing while roll gap, speed and guide settings define the finished section.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
