Select around the project duty
Combined Special-Section Billet Copper Mould Plate forms a cooled working face within a slab or special-section continuous-casting mould. Plate geometry, fixing arrangement, cooling channels and coating are engineered to the mould assembly and casting conditions.
Working principle
Heat from the molten steel passes through the copper working face and is removed by the mould cooling-water circuit. The opposed plates define the strand section while controlled heat extraction supports initial shell formation. Final cooling geometry and plate design are confirmed from the mould drawing.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
Core features
