Select around the project duty
Tundish Car is part of the continuous-casting process line. Mechanical arrangement, drive, cooling, controls and mounting interfaces are selected from the caster type, strand section and operating sequence.
Working principle
The car supports and positions the tundish above the mould area, travelling between operating, preparation and maintenance positions as required by the caster layout. Travel, lifting and positioning functions are interlocked with the casting sequence.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
