Select around the project duty
Slab Continuous Caster Segment is a modular section of the continuous-caster strand guide. Roll arrangement, frame geometry, cooling zones and machine interfaces are designed around the strand section, casting radius and production duty.
Working principle
After leaving the mould, the partially solidified strand is supported and guided by rolls through the caster arc while secondary cooling removes additional heat. Roll alignment, spray arrangement and segment loading are confirmed for the caster geometry.
Metallurgical equipment selection is based on feed composition, production rate, process temperature, energy balance, refractory or wetted materials, emission control and plant integration.
