Working principle
A rotating or positive-displacement pumping element transfers energy to the liquid and creates the pressure difference needed to move it through the system. Final hydraulic type and seal arrangement are selected from flow, head, medium and operating conditions.
Pump selection should be made at a defined duty point using the system curve, fluid properties, operating range, temperature, materials, sealing arrangement, driver and applicable standard.
